This Monday, CDT HUB hosted its first Demo Day, an event dedicated to showcasing the latest solutions in the e-commerce and marketing industries. Five companies — TAU Commerce, B2Bee, New Look Entertainment, Intelisale, and Built on Machine Learning — presented their innovative solutions for marketing automation, e-commerce optimization, and omnichannel sales, offering insights into modern tools that enhance business performance in the digital landscape.

Participants had the opportunity to learn firsthand about the technologies that are transforming the market. From advanced AI solutions for personalization to platforms for more efficient sales and order management, Demo Day highlighted how digital solutions can improve customer experience and drive business growth.

Opačić: The Strategic Goal of CDT HUB – Bridging the Gap Between IT and Traditional Industries

Tihomir Opačić, the Strategy Director at CDT HUB, welcomed the attendees and explained that he took on this role as someone with over ten years of experience in developing the IT community in Serbia, someone who is familiar with the challenges the community has faced over the years, as well as the current issues it encounters today.

- I stepped into this role to help achieve the strategic goal of CDT HUB, which is essentially why we have all gathered here today: to connect Serbian IT with what we call the Serbian traditional industry. For a long time now, there has been an unexplained animosity between the two. If you were to ask an average Serbian IT company whether they would prefer to work with a Serbian client or a foreign client, the answer has almost always leaned toward foreign clients. The same goes in the opposite direction—if you asked a typical Serbian company whether they would prefer to have a local IT firm or a foreign company integrate a technical or software solution for them, they tend to choose the foreign option. I genuinely don’t understand why this is the case, and I would call on everyone for a bit of patriotism in this regard, to give each other a chance. The truth is, there are highly skilled companies ready for collaboration on both sides, which I hope we will witness through this series of Demo Day events - Opačić emphasized.
